| Font Effects: To get started just open Word and experiment with the different things you can do with text. In the blank white screen just type any text to get started. If you want text to do different things you must highlight it first. Put the mouse pointer at the start of the text and hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse to the end of the text and let go. It should now be highlighted. Right Click on the highlighted text and choose Font from the drop down menu. 
Below is the format box you will see. The red arrow indicates where Font Colour is. Experiment with different effects. 
Below there are more buttons for you to use so as to manipulate different text effects. The text must be highlighted first before you can use these tools.
